After years of having Aptiv’s Annual Report created externally by an agency, we brought the entire project in-house. We oversaw the project management, design, revisions, final file preparation, print production, and delivery of Aptiv’s Annual Report.

BACKGROUND
BRINGING APTIV'S ANNUAL REPORT IN-HOUSE: ENHANCING CONTROL AND BRAND CONSISTENCY
After several years of outsourcing the creation of its Annual Report to an external agency, Aptiv decided to bring the entire process in-house, aiming to have greater control over the project and ensure the final product more accurately reflected the company's vision and brand identity.

DESIGN CHALLENGE
CREATE AND LEAD THE OVERALL DESIGN AND PRINT PRODUCTION FOR APTIV’S ANNUAL REPORT
The primary design challenge for the Aptiv Annual Report was to seamlessly transition the project in-house, ensuring a cohesive and engaging design that accurately reflected Aptiv's brand identity, while managing tight deadlines and coordinating input from multiple stakeholders.
Aptiv decided to bring it’s Annual Report design in-house, aiming to have greater control over the project and ensure the final product more accurately reflects the company's vision and brand identity.

RESEARCH
BENCHMARKING AND BRAINSTORMING
During the benchmarking and brainstorming phase of Aptiv's Annual Report design, I benchmarked competitors’ annual reports, analyzed industry best practices and innovative design trends, and gathered inspiration that would help me create a visually compelling and highly informative report that aligns with Aptiv’s strategic objectives.

DESIGN PHASE 1
INITIAL DESIGNS AND FEEDBACK
In the initial design phase of Aptiv's Annual Report, I developed and presented multiple cover and interior layout options. Each concept was crafted to reflect Aptiv’s brand identity while offering distinct visual styles and thematic approaches. This variety allowed stakeholders to evaluate different design directions and provided a strong foundation for selecting the most impactful and cohesive design for the final report.

DESIGN PHASE 2
UPDATES AND ADJUSTMENTS
In Design Phase 2, I incorporated feedback from stakeholders, making targeted updates and adjustments to refine the report’s design. This iterative process ensured that the final product addressed all input effectively, enhancing visual appeal and alignment with Aptiv’s objectives while maintaining clarity and coherence throughout the report.

FINAL DESIGN
FINALIZING AND SHIPPING THE ANNUAL REPORT FILES FOR PRINT PRODUCTION
Upon finalizing the design, I meticulously prepared and proofed the report files for printing, ensuring all details were accurate and consistent. I then managed the printing process, overseeing the production and shipping of the Annual Report to guarantee timely delivery and high-quality results.
